What is UM Game Jam?

Organized by Persatuan Komputer Universiti Malaya (PEKOM), UM Game Jam is a national game development competition where participants design and develop games based on a specific theme. This flagship event draws students from public and private universities across Malaysia, welcoming diverse talents from various fields of study, garnering strong engagement, and establishing itself as PEKOM's premier event.

When is UM Game Jam 24/25?

⚙️ Mode: Physical

📍 Venue: Pusat Asasi Sains Universiti Malaya (PASUM), Universiti Malaya

🏆 Prize Pool:

Champion: RM1000

1st Runner-Up: RM600

2nd Runner-Up: RM300

Submission Platform:

UM Game Jam 24/25

Team Formation:

A team of 1 to 4 members regardless of the year of studies and universities. For those looking for team members, you can join our Discord server and find suitable teammates.

Game Engine:

Participants are encouraged to utilize any game engine of their preference for developing their games. The only requirement is that the game must be compatible for upload to itch.io.

Output Platform:

The final product of the game development competition will be a PC game. The game will be uploaded and played using the itch.io website.
